VIA PARIGI PERSONAL JEWELERS

The company was founded by Oya Kara in July 2003, supported by her 20 years of industry experience, to serve customers who look for the unusual, quiet or dazzling yet enduring styles, and who would benefit from meeting designers from all over the world and seeing, touching, feeling their work, during exclusive trunk shows.  Oya's daughter Idil Duran, also a designer and metalworker, joined Via Parigi as Vice President in 2004.  She has a rich background in music, dance, theatre, jewelry making, public relations, finance and administration.   Her pieces appeal to a younger group of customers.

Oya and Idil are natives of Istanbul, Turkey - a major name in fine jewelry tradition that goes back four thousand years., from the Hittites, Lydians, Phrygians, to the Greeks, Byzantines, Ottomans and modern Turkey... Some of the art practiced in  Anatolia (Asia Minor) has not yet been introduced to the Western United States. Oya and Idil want to present those ancient arts and the rich culture behind them, so the customer enjoys and cherishes the millenia of art history that a particular piece of jewelry carries with it.

"Via Parigi" means "The Road to Paris" in Italian.
